Greetings, it's been a long time. We've been well, visiting family, sorting medical stuff out, and vacationing. I love America. I love nearly everything about this country. At this moment, I'm sitting in a mountain house, over looking a lake, with a distant view of the Pacific Ocean. We've spent time hiking, boating, shopping!, and having sleepovers with friends. So. Much. Fun.
Chubs had his tonsils out, and he's finally putting on weight - he's a different kid. We're so relieved!! Hap, is also putting on some serious weight. He has outgrown everything, and he's so smart. He catches every joke and laughs-out-loud all day.
It's time to start blogging again. In our new post, Kinshasa, we're lucky to have a consumable shipment. We pay out of pocket for house hold items that we'll use for the next two years. That's a lot of paper towels, detergent, noodles, juice boxes... After collecting 2,500 pounds of stuff, watching it all packed in crates, and shipped off to our new home, it feels like we're close to leaving the States. Both Karl and I decided it was time to create a blog name, and post some pictures of our summer vacation. Check our new blog out: kinshasa730.wordpress.com (730 days we'll be in Congo)
